Questions, answered plainly.

If yours is not here, ask us and we will add it.

Plans and prices are on the pricing page; the evidence behind the mission is on the mission page.

What does it cost?

Every animal, every layer, every name and every written fact is free, with five questions a day to the tutor and the daily challenge.

Pro adds the tools that stand in for the dissection itself: section, incision, nearby, radiograph, retract, side-by-side species, every quiz mode, procedures, saved views and share links. Clinic adds the consult room. The plans are on the pricing page.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in a current browser on a laptop, a tablet or a phone. The first visit downloads the animal (8 to 31 MB depending on the species); after that it opens from your browser's cache.

Which animals are in it?

Four complete animals: the cat, the dog, the pig and the horse, 5,965 named structures between them. Each animal is one specimen in one pose, every layer modelled on the same body, so nothing has been fitted onto anything else.

Where do the facts come from?

Two places, and every fact says which. Some are measured on the model itself: what a structure touches, where it lies, how deep it sits. Others, such as origin, insertion, action and innervation, are quoted from a named reference, and the reading pane names it under the fact.

Names follow the Nomina Anatomica Veterinaria, the official veterinary nomenclature, beside the English.

Can it replace dissection in our course?

That is your faculty's call, and the evidence is on your side: of eleven studies comparing humane teaching methods with animal use in veterinary education, five found the humane method taught better, five found it taught as well, and one found it taught less well.

What Vetomica gives a course is a specimen every student can open at once, cut and undo, and come back to the night before the exam. The mission page sets out the evidence and its sources.

Is the AI tutor reliable?

It is a study aid, not an authority. It sees the structure you have selected and answers in plain words, and the names in its answers open the structure on the model so you can check them. The reading pane, with its sourced facts, is the reference.

Does it say what it does not know?

Yes. Where a structure is not modelled, the atlas says so on the screen: a nerve block that reaches four nerves on a model that has one says 'Partial: 1 of 4 nerves modelled', and the radiograph says plainly that it is not a diagnostic image.

Can I use it in a lecture or on a course page?

A saved view reopens the exact scene, camera, layers, labels and section, in one click, and a share link opens it for anyone. Theatre mode darkens the room for a projector, and a scene can be embedded in a course page.

Is my data sold or shared?

No. There is no advertising and no tracking script on the site or in the atlas. An account is optional; it exists so your notes, saved views and progress follow you between devices. The privacy page lists every service that handles your data.

Open the atlas. The animal is already on the table.

Every animal, every layer and every name is free. Nothing to install, nothing to sign before you look.
