Privacy
This page describes what the atlas does today, in plain words. It is a draft and must be reviewed by a lawyer before launch, including the controller details and the legal bases that apply where you operate.
Who we are

The short version
- You can use the atlas without an account.
- There is no advertising and no tracking or analytics script on the site or in the atlas.
- We do not sell or rent your data.
What stays in your browser
Without an account, your notes, quiz progress, theme and layout choices are kept in your browser's local storage on your device. Clearing your browser's site data removes them. The atlas also caches the animal models in your browser so they open faster next time.
What we keep if you make an account

The AI tutor and quizzes
When you ask the tutor a question or start an AI-written quiz, your question and the name of the structure you have selected are sent to Google's Gemini service to write the answer. Do not put personal or patient information in a question.

Cookies
We set only the cookies the service needs to work, such as the one that keeps you signed in. None are used for advertising or tracking.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within [number] days of your asking us to close it, except what we must keep for tax and accounting.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by writing to [privacy email]. You may also complain to [supervisory authority].
Children
The atlas is made for veterinary students and professionals and is not directed at children under [age].
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the site before it takes effect.
