Sternum
The chain of sternebrae along the floor of the chest, from the manubrium in front to the xiphoid process behind, receiving the sternal costal cartilages between its segments.
About the sternum of the pig
Sternum is a bone of the body (trunk), a single structure on the midline. You can turn it above, see it in place in the body of the pig, and open it inside the whole animal in Vetomica.
Measured on the specimen
What the sternum is in contact with in the model itself, with the share of the other structure’s surface it covers. A contact is not always a joint: bones that simply lie against one another are in this list too.
Measured on the left side.

- Sternum is a bone of the body (trunk), a single structure on the midline.
See the sternum inside the whole pig.
Vetomica opens on this structure with every layer of the pig around it: peel back the skin and the muscles, cut a section through it, X-ray it, and practise naming it until you stop getting it wrong.
