Normal abdomen (1 of 3)

What to look for
- The gut looks normal: gas and food in the stomach and intestines, formed faeces in the colon
- Plenty of abdominal fat in this overweight cat gives crisp serosal detail
- Incidental: a bony bridge (spondylosis) between T13 and L1, common in older cats
Read the normal first
Learn the size of the heart, the lung fields and the outline of the diaphragm on this film, then open a finding from the list and slide between the two.

Read the film, then see the anatomy in 3D.
Vetomica puts every abdomen structure on this x-ray in a complete 3D cat you can peel, cut and X-ray from any angle, with every imaging finding beside its normal and practice at reading films.
The 3D animals are free for 7 days, no card. Imaging findings are Pro; every normal study stays free.
