Normal hips

What to look for
- Each femoral head sits deep in its acetabulum, more than half covered by its rim
- The joint space is a thin, even crescent
- Femurs parallel and the pelvis symmetrical: the position that hip scoring needs
Read the normal first
Learn the size of the heart, the lung fields and the outline of the diaphragm on this film, then open a finding from the list and slide between the two.

Read the film, then see the anatomy in 3D.
Vetomica puts every bones and joints structure on this x-ray in a complete 3D dog you can peel, cut and X-ray from any angle, with every imaging finding beside its normal and practice at reading films.
The 3D animals are free every day up to a daily limit, no card. Imaging findings are Pro; every normal study stays free.
